3.11.6.15. Adjustment of a preliminary tension of bearings of a secondary shaft

NOTE
Carry out adjustment only in case of replacement of bearings

Establish a secondary shaft in a case of coupling with bearings and a ring for preliminary adjustment (B.Vi.1161) or a similar ring 1,60 mm thick (big outer diameter).
Establish a case.
Turn and tighten box socket bolts.
Establish a plate of an arm of the indicator of arrow type (B.Vi.1161) (or similar) on fastenings of the case of a tripoid.

Fig. 3.89. Installation adjusting plug and bolt

Install the special plug (B.Vi.1527) A and a bolt With (fig. 3.89).

Fig. 3.90. Installation of the arrow indicator

Install the indicator of arrow type with a magnetic support (fig. 3.90).
Several times turn a secondary shaft that bearings rose into place.
Establish zero on an indicator scale.
Using two screw-drivers as levers, pull a secondary shaft up.
Consider the indication of the indicator of arrow type.
Several times repeat these operations in the same sequence.
Define average value of the received sizes.
Calculate ring thickness for adjustment of a preliminary tension on the following formula of calculation:
the ordered value + ring thickness for preliminary adjustment + average value of indications of the indicator of arrow type = to ring thickness for adjustment of a preliminary tension.
Example (values in mm):
the ordered value 0,26 + ring thickness for preliminary adjustment 0,49 + average value of indications of the indicator of arrow type 1,60 = 2,35.

NOTE
A set of adjusting rings 2,15-2,43 mm thick with a step of 0,04 mm is delivered on replacement.
