There are four standby mode of the block of a butterfly valve.

1. Mode of restriction of dynamic indicators.

This mode is applied at malfunctions in electric chains for which there is a safe decision suitable for system of injection (malfunction of one of two conducting paths of the sensor of provision of a pedal of an accelerator or the block of a butterfly valve). At this mode accelerating characteristics and the maximum opening of a butterfly valve are limited (the maximum speed of 90 km/h – for cars from the mechanical transmission and 100 km/h – for cars with AKP.

2. The mode of loss of the operating influences of the driver.

This mode call also "reserve electric situation. This mode is applied at total absence of information on the provision of a pedal of an accelerator, but at this EBU of system of injection continues to control filling by air of cylinders of the engine (the drive of a butterfly valve remains operated). In this EBU mode of system of injection establishes standard positions of a pedal of an accelerator for each transfer and transfers the engine to idling when pressing a brake pedal. In this case the maximum frequency of rotation of a bent shaft at the neutral provision of KP is limited up to 2500 ^min.-1.

3. Mode of reserve mechanical situation.

This mode is applied at the malfunctions leading to loss of controllability of a butterfly valve (the drive of the gate does not operate). In this case the butterfly valve is in position of mechanical rest, EBU of system of injection limits the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft by the termination of injection and torque – due to shutdown of cylinders (the termination of ignition and injection) depending on the provision of a pedal of an accelerator. As a result the maximum frequency of a bent shaft in the mode of full loading or at the neutral provision of KP remains equal 2500 ^min.-1.

4. Mode of tracking of provision of a pedal.

In case of loss of information on pressure in an inlet collector extent of opening of a butterfly valve is directly proportional to the provision of a pedal of an accelerator.
