2.4.3.2. Work and control of the phase-shifter (F4R engine)

Fig. 2.230. Electromagnetic valve of the phase-shifter: 1 – valve

The phase-shifter is switched-off or EBU of system of injection by means of the electromagnetic valve installed on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders (fig. 2.230) copes.
With a frequency of rotation of a bent shaft within 1500–4300 min.-1 EBU gives supply voltage on the electromagnetic valve.
At excess of 4300 min.-1 power supply of the electromagnetic valve stops. At the same time position of the mechanism of the phase-shifter promotes filling of cylinders with a high frequency of rotation of a bent shaft. In this situation the locking plunger blocks the mechanism.

NOTE
With a frequency of rotation up to 1500 min.-1 supply voltage does not move on the electromagnetic valve. The mechanism is blocked by a plunger. From the moment of giving of food on the electromagnetic valve with a frequency of rotation of a bent shaft more than 1500 min.-1 under the influence of oil pressure the locking plunger departs and releases the mechanism.

In a starting position the electromagnetic valve is closed. The valve opens pass of oil for control of the phase-shifter at observance of the following conditions:
– lack of malfunction of the sensor of frequency of rotation of a bent shaft;
– lack of malfunctions of sensors of position of camshafts;
– lack of malfunctions in system of injection;
– after start of the engine;
– the engine idles not;
– tension of the rechargeable battery is higher 11,4 In;
– temperature of cooling liquid is above 30 °C;
– frequency of rotation of the engine makes 1500–4300 min.-1;
– loading is more than 87% (about 900 Mbar).

ATTENTION
When blocking the electromagnetic valve in open situation the engine unstably idles, pressure in an inlet collector is increased.
