2.2.6.3. Second installation of phases of gas distribution

Make sure that the gear wreath of the phase-shifter of the camshaft of inlet valves is reliably recorded (the wreath cannot be turned to the left or to the right).

Install on special adaptation (Mot. 1509) gear wheel (Mot. 1509-01).

Put on the remote plug of adaptation (Mot. 1509–01) on a hairpin (fig. 2.72).

Wrap the top bolt, having put the remote plug (Mot. 1509–01) between adaptation and a cover of a head of cylinders (a bolt finally do not tighten) (fig. 2.73).
Tighten a bolt and a nut with a fillet.
Bring adaptation gear wheels (Mot. 1509) to cogged pulleys of camshafts.
Tighten nuts of fastening of cogged pulleys (80 N · м).

Remove a cap of the phase-shifter of the camshaft of inlet valves (fig. 2.74).
Turn off a bolt of fastening of the phase-shifter of the camshaft of inlet valves.
Turn off a nut of fastening of the cogged pulley of the camshaft of final valves and adaptation (Mot. 1509).
Remove cogged pulleys of camshafts.
If necessary turn off a hairpin with a nut.
Install adaptation (Mot. 1509) with gear wheels (Mot 1509-01).
Tighten a bolt and a nut with a fillet.
Bring adaptation gear wheels to a contact with cogged pulleys of camshafts.

Tighten hairpins of fastening of cogged pulleys (80 N · l) (fig. 2.75).
Turn off nuts of fastening of cogged pulleys of camshafts.
Remove adaptation (Mot. 1509) and cogged pulleys of camshafts.
Install previously fat-free cogged pulleys of camshafts, using old nuts.
By means of adaptation (Mot. 799-01) tighten nuts the required moment of 15 N · m.

ATTENTION
When replacing a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism surely replace a pulley of a bent shaft, bypass and tension rollers and belts of the GRM drive and auxiliary units.

Establish the grooves displaced in relation to an axis horizontally down, as shown above, having turned camshafts by means of adaptation (Mot. 799-01).

Fix adaptation (Mot. 1496) at end faces of camshafts (fig. 2.76).
Turn off a nut of fastening of the cogged pulley of the camshaft of final valves and a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the phase-shifter of the inlet camshaft.
Turn off nuts of fastening of cogged pulleys of camshafts.
Make sure that the bent shaft is blocked.

The groove of a bent shaft has to be between two edges (fig. 2.77).

Establish a tension roller, having arranged its ledge in a groove (fig. 2.78).
Install the cogged pulley of a bent shaft, a belt of the GRM drive and bypass a roller.
Tighten the required moment (50 N · l) a bolt of fastening of a bypass roller.
